Ignites Europe – What Fund Boards Need to Tell Investors about ETF Conversions

With conversions of open-ended funds to ETFs likely to accelerate in Europe, Deirdre says that fund boards need to be clear that ETFs operate in a different ecosystem requiring new service providers, such as authorised participants, market makers, listing agents and other ETF partners. She added that it is essential to bring shareholders into the discussions at an early stage in order for the necessary consents to be secured.
